ACTING

I am part of a group called 'Open Minds Productions' that performs various original street plays written by our mentor and director, Mrs Tejaswini Patwardhan, about social issues that affect children in this modern world such as child labour, cyber safety, gadget addiction and communication issues between parents and children. This allows me to do my part in helping to bring about a positive change in this world.
Acting has given me the confidence to speak in front of large audiences. It has taught me how to communicate openly and freely with people and work effectively with different types of people. It has brought out my confidence, which I would otherwise not have. It has taught me how to bounce back from situations by exercising my creativity, thinking on my feet and coming up with out-of-the-box solutions. It has also taught me how to be dedicated and work under pressure since most street plays I have done have been rehearsed and set up in only 10 days.
'THE HIDDEN FACE' - CYBER SAFETY
Inspired by real-life online challenges, "The Hidden Face" used the magic of theatre to spark vital conversations at the National Cyber Psychology Conference 2026.
The play focused on reminding the audience that cyber safety isn't just for experts, but rather that it is a shared responsibility for every child and adult. Performed by children and young artists from the Open Minds Production, the skit used theatre and storytelling to highlight key cyber safety messages around awareness, courage, safe choices, and the importance of speaking up and reporting when something feels wrong online. Through relatable scenarios and impactful performances, The Hidden Face reminded audiences that recognising online risks early and seeking trusted support can make all the difference.
A reminder that digital safety is a shared responsibility, and awareness truly begins with conversation.
